You can celebrate the second annual International Day of the Girl with Plan Canada’s Because I am a Girl initiative at an exclusive screening of Girl Rising. It’s an event you won’t want to miss!

About the film: Directed by Academy Award nominee, Richard Robbins, Girl Rising tells the stories of 9 extraordinary girls from 9 countries, narrated by 9 renowned actresses: Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Salma Hayek, Cate Blanchett, Selena Gomez, Alicia Keyes, Kerry Washington, Priyanka Chopra, ChloŃ‘ Mortez and Because I am a Girl ambassador, Freida Pinto. Girl Rising highlights the importance of girls’ education and how it can help change the world.
